Strong Competition Keeps Brands in Check

On December 6, 2010, Consumer Reports revealed that among 58,000 of its readers that were surveyed, AT&T was rated as the worst wireless network.

The report was a devastating blow to AT&T of course. But executives at AT&T also knew that if people wanted Apple’s blockbuster iPhone, there was nowhere else to go. As of this week, though, that is no longer the case because Verizon is now able to sell and provide service for the iPhone.
